Strategic Automation Leadership Without the C-Suite Salary
A senior automation strategist in your corner. Quarterly roadmaps, vendor evaluation, team training, and executive reporting. 8 hours/month of dedicated expertise.
✓ 8 hours/month dedicated ✓ Quarterly strategic planning ✓ Executive-level reporting

The Strategic Gap
Tactical automation without strategy leads to chaos.
No Automation Roadmap
You’re automating ad-hoc based on whatever fire burns hottest. No prioritisation framework, no long-term vision, no ROI tracking across initiatives.
Vendor Confusion
Make.com vs Zapier vs n8n? HubSpot vs Pipedrive vs Salesforce? Without strategic guidance, you end up picking tools that don’t integrate or scale.
Leadership Can't See Value
You know automation saves time, but you can’t articulate it to the board. No metrics, no ROI reports, no strategic narrative.
What Your Fractional CAO Does
Complete strategic capability, not random automation.
Strategic Planning
Develop quarterly automation roadmaps aligned with business goals. Prioritise initiatives by ROI. Create a multi-year transformation vision.
Vendor Evaluation
Assess new tools and platforms objectively. Negotiate with vendors. Ensure your tech stack is coherent and future-proof.
Team Training
Upskill your internal team on automation best practices. Build internal capability so you’re not permanently dependent on external help.
Executive Reporting
Translate automation progress into business metrics. Prepare board-ready presentations. Quantify ROI for leadership.
Process Optimisation
Audit existing processes before automation. Identify what should be streamlined vs. automated. Prevent automating broken processes.
Stakeholder Alignment
Get buy-in from department heads. Manage change resistance. Ensure automation serves all stakeholders, not just the loudest ones.

Questions about the Fractional CAO
What does 8 hours/month actually include?
Time for strategic work: roadmap development, meeting with stakeholders, training preparation, and executive reporting. Excludes hands-on implementation (that’s what our other services are for).
Can hours roll over if unused?
Hours don’t roll over month-to-month. However, we can flex timing—if you need 12 hours one month and 4 the next, we can usually accommodate with advance notice.
Do you actually implement automations?
This role is strategic, not tactical. We direct and advise, but hands-on implementation is handled by our automation products or Maintenance & Optimisation team.
How do you interact with our existing team?
We work alongside your operations, IT, or project management team. We provide strategic direction; they handle execution (with our guidance).
What's the minimum commitment?
3-month initial engagement. Strategic work takes time to show results. After 3 months, continue on a month-to-month basis with 30 days’ notice.
Can you join our leadership meetings?
Yes, attending leadership or board meetings is included when the automation strategy is on the agenda. We present findings, answer questions, and advocate for the roadmap.

the cost of a full-time automation executive
Executive Expertise at a Fractional Cost
A full-time Chief Automation Officer or VP of Operations Technology commands €150K-€250K/year plus equity. Most SMEs can’t justify that investment. But strategic automation leadership is exactly what separates companies that scale efficiently from those that drown in manual processes.
